two more weeks left

It is truly amazing how time goes by. There are two dimensions of it though:

1) There are so many things to do in life and there is virtually little time to be able to do everything. This is the feel of a day to day basis, or week-planning when acknowledging that IS is due Tuesday, Quiz will be Monday, Finance will be Monday, we need to meet in different teams... etc

2) The second dimension is when looking back in time. We heard the expression "time flies" a million times. On the one hand time passing by very fast is considered to be good, showing that you are busy, you are working or just enjoying. On the other hand, slow time is considered to show problems/issues in one's life. Looking back at these 5 months spent in here, it seems like it's only been a week. WOW! We've all been through some tough times and it now almost over.

Should we be sad or be happy? How can we have both feelings in the same time?

There is a saying in Romanian which goes like this: "Cry with an eye and laugh with the other"

Let's hope for a good last two weeks!

heads up

It's been a tough week and the bad news it is not over yet. Time is becoming very expensive as it is getting less and less. It seems that I just don't have any time for things outside school now, that's why Thanksgiving will be a well deserved break. I will try to re-iterate what happened this week:

  • On Monday, 1 case due for Managerial Accounting (MA)
  • Tuesday, start working for Economics and quiz (4 chapters) for Information Systems(IS)
  • huh... Wed it was time for MA quiz (4 chapters + many problems)
  • Today, Cisco project was due for IS and tomorrow is the final EXAM for Econ
  • In the same time, it was also work involved, other subjects, readings and the final meeting for the Speech class which was last night

Now, don't get me wrong because I'm not complaining about this. I feel fortunate to be able to study here in this program and this is just part of what the MBA experience is all about. Be able to work, work, work, study and be productive at any time of the day.

blogger gets a new soul, hopefully so will I

Being here, anchored in the MBA program almost 24/7 it is very hard to find any good time frames in order to do anything else than school and work. After a long time, today, I started to realize again that a long term investment that will not let you down is good health.
Speaking from a Finance point of view, the maturity date might be very big (hopefully some tens of years), the yield is somehow inconsistent and very low but for the future value it provides (having good body and mind sanity) it is worth all the present value that it might ask.

Therefore, I decided today to try to stick to my old gym schedule again! How will I do that with concerns on the timeframe? I yet don't know.

In other news, Anand will be leaving in early January to Mexico, leaving me alone in my house without a roommate. So, we decided that we'll try to sublease the place to some other people while I will try to find a new IMBA house (highly probably my mexican's friend Paco)
